BANK OF ENGLAND (BOE)

The Bank of England is the central bank of the United Kingdom. Sometimes known as the ‘Old Lady’ of Threadneedle Street.  The Bank sets interest rates to keep inflation low, issues banknotes and works to maintain a stable financial system.
